Dear Area Community Leader,

 

Please join me at the Sharing Resources to Better Economic Development Forum on Thursday, September 13, 2012, at 8:30 a.m., at the Quirk Cultural Center, 1201 Grant Avenue, Cuyahoga Falls, 44223.

 

This forum will allow you to meet with numerous public officials and participate in a discussion about economic development and job creation in the communities of Cuyahoga Falls and Silver Lake.  Joining me on the event panel will be:

 

q    City of Cuyahoga Falls Mayor Donald L. Robart

q    Village of Silver Lake Mayor Bernie Hovey

q    County of Summit Council Member (District 3) Gloria Rodgers

q    County of Summit Council Member (District 2) John Schmidt

q    Ohio House of Representatives (District 42) Kristina Roegner

q    Ohio Senator (District 27) Frank LaRose

 

Representatives from my Department of Community and Economic Development will also be on site to offer assistance to local business and organizations.  The County of Summit is capable of administering: Demolition Programs, Community Reinvestment Act Agreements, Enterprise Zone Agreements, entrance into Foreign Trade Zone Sites, participation in the Summit Business Partnership and much more.

 

It is my pleasure to partner with the Cuyahoga Falls Chamber of Commerce as we bring this important forum to you.  Please consider attending this forum to learn more about the programs and services local and state public officials are offering in an effort to improve community and economic development in northern Summit County.

 

To date, Sharing Resources to Better Economic Development Forums have been hosted in 18 communities throughout Summit County.  In 2010, the program was recognized by the National Association of Counties (NACo) with an Achievement Award: a top honor reserved for innovative county government programs.
