Encouraging and inspiring creativity through the study of music. Proud to be an 8 year member of the Cuyahoga Falls Chamber of Commerce, Edward Arthur “Ted” Shure is the Founder and Artistic Director of Shure Studios in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. The Studio was created to provide the highest level of musical training to talented students from all across Northeast Ohio. Mr. Shure provides advanced studies in piano, voice, conducting and chamber music.
It is the primary goal of the Studio to provide students with a foundation of understanding of the language of music so that they will be equipped with the tools to grow on their own long after their lessons have been completed.
The Studio provides students with a comprehensive study plan which includes learning good practice habits, building technique, understanding musical structure and interpretation, as well as rhythm, theory, sight-reading, harmony, and many other areas.
In demand as a choral conductor, Mr. Shure currently holds the position of Director of the Cuyahoga Falls Community Chorus, a post he has had since 2004. The Cuyahoga Falls Community Chorus, under Mr. Shure’s direction, performed for President George W. Bush during the President’s historic visit to Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio on October 2, 2004. Additionally, Mr. Shure has enjoyed a long relationship with the Akron Symphony Chorus where he has served as cover conductor for full rehearsals, sectional rehearsals and auditions; and for several years as bass section leader.
Mr. Shure serves on the Board of Directors for the Summit Choral Society as well as Bass Section Leader for the Masterworks Chorale under the leader ship of Dr. Frank C. Jacobs. Mr. Shure worked with such distinguished conductors as Claudio Abbado, Robert Shaw, Leonard Bernstein, Seiji Ozawa, Antal Dorati, Randall Thompson, and Sir Andrew Davis. Mr. Shure performs and teaches on a Steinway Piano.

CVAC Fall Class Schedule is now available at CVAC or on-line at www.cvartcenter.org. Some classes will begin on September 14th and 16th. All other classes start on the week of September 19th. Currently on display in our gallery is the Student and Faculty Show which showcases paintings created by our students and faculty. There will be an awards reception and grand opening of our new “Artist Café” on August 27th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. This show will run until September 23rd. The CVAC faculty will hold demos during the Octoberfest on Saturday, September 10th from 1-3 p.m. Come in and meet our talented instructors. The 27th Northeast Ohio Regional Juried Show will open September 30th with an opening reception on October 1st from 6-8 p.m. Take in for this show is September 27th. All regional artists are invited to enter. Cash and prizes worth $1,400 will be awarded. Don’t miss this exciting show which runs until November 4th.

- What can I submit for Chamber Member Business Announcements?
The announcement information that you submit to the Chamber will only be accepted via email only and must be strictly related to your Chamber Member business in which you are a paid Member of the Chamber of Commerce. The “Business News Announcements” must be related to: a new service your business is offering, a special “Members Only” discount and offer, office furniture for sale, hiring a new employee for your business, new business ribbon cutting, business anniversary invitation, business open house announcement, new business address, office space for rent, celebrating a business anniversary, etc.
How much space can I have for a Chamber Member Business Announcement?
200 words or fewer of text only and one listing per Chamber Member business per month. The Chamber reserves the right to edit all submissions and use fewer or more words submitted.
- What is the deadline to submit information?
The deadline to submit a Chamber Member Business Announcement is the 25th of the month by 12 noon and it will run in the next month’s email. Anything submitted after that date will run in the following month’s e-blast.
