Cuyahoga Falls High School
The Career Education Dept. would like to invite you to participate in Career Awareness Night on February 9, 2012. This yearly event is an exciting evening and required for our Sophomores and their parents. We will also have Parent/Teacher Conferences that night. This is an evening when the school and members of the community come together to represent different career options available to students after graduation from high school, college and/or technical schools. During their sophomore year, students start thinking about elective courses and career education programs that are geared towards their career goals, and it is important that they have opportunities to speak with community members from their fields of interest. To this end, all sophomores are required to attend this event. This is also our parent/teacher conference night. With many junior and senior students, as well as the sophomores and their parents in the building, we are providing the opportunity for our students to speak with a large number of professional community members. Additionally, this is a wonderful opportunity to further develop strong school/community relationships, involving the community in our efforts to provide our students with the best information and the most opportunities to help them succeed in their future endeavors. The evening runs from 6:30pm to 8:00pm, with set-up time beginning at 5:30pm. We provide a light dinner for our participants prior to the 6:30pm start time. We provide tables for participants to display their information regarding their career field, such as handouts, display boards, photos, flyers, or any materials they feel would contain relevant information for the students and families in our community. We hope to have you join us for Career Awareness Night. Please let us know you are able to participate. If you have any questions or to register by phone, please call 330-926-3808, x502204 for Diana Gerber, or x502127 for Marty Jones.

Conrad Botzum Farmstead
For seven years The Conrad Botzum Farmstead hosted a Summer Concert Series called ‘Music at the Farmstead’. In the fall of 2010 The concert series left the Farmstead to take up a new home in Cuyahoga Valley National Park and actually became a Park program utilizing larger Park venues. The Summer Concert Series was silent during the summer of 2011. We are now beginning the planning of a new ‘Music at the Farmstead’ Summer Concert Series to begin in June of 2012. The Farmstead is actively putting together a new email (and snail mail) contact list for those folks that would like to receive concert programming and ticket information for the new series. As the old series predominately featured classical and semi classical music, the new series will feature country, blue grass and jazz. The format is casual, relaxed and very friendly. Ticket prices will not be established until the program costs have been determined. Each concert will be different, family friendly and extremely inviting and entertaining. We will provide more information as planning progresses. For now we would invite you to get on our mailing list. We will not be bombarding you with endless solicitations and daily news. We will only be sending you updates regarding the concert series, who will be coming, dates and ticket info. Please email George at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. COME BACK TO THE COUNTRY!
