___Keith Viers – Ohio Savings Bank
Current Board Member re-running for another 3 year term
I have been the Branch Manager for Ohio Savings Bank’s Cuyahoga Falls Branch since January 2010. One of the first things I did was to approach the Cuyahoga Falls Chamber of Commerce and have Ohio Savings become a member. I became very active as a member of the Chamber and served on several committees and provided sponsorships for several events during my first year.
In 2012, I was elected to the Chamber’s Board of Directors. I served as Co-Chairperson of several committees and volunteered for several other activities and events as well. In 2013, I was elected to the Executive Board as First Vice President.
Currently, I serve as the President of the Board of Directors during the 2014 term. I am very proud to have been elected to this position and have done my best to represent our Chamber within the community. I have strived to make sure that our Chamber works closely with both our local government and school systems for the betterment of Cuyahoga Falls. To help accomplish this, I serve on the Cuyahoga Falls School District’s Business Advisory Council and provide financial literacy sessions to Price Elementary School. I also regularly attend City Council Meetings in order to keep up to date regarding events that impact our business community and to help keep the lines of communication open with our city officials.
In addition to these activities, I have also has served the past three years as a volunteer Account Executive for the United Way of Summit County, helping to establish relationships for that organization with local business and community leaders in establishing annual fund raising campaigns.
I was born and raised in Cuyahoga Falls, graduating from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1988. I attended The University of Akron and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. I am also a member of Mu Kappa Tau, the National Marketing Honor Society. I currently live in Stow with my wife and two daughters. ___Angela Bozic – Old Carolina BBQ
Running for a 3 year term.
When one first meets the charismatic Angela one can see she embraces the entrepreneurial spirit and sense of community pride. Daughter and sister to local entrepreneurs and event planners, it was quite natural for Angela to be gifted in these areas herself. Creativity, versatility, and passion are certainly in abundance in her family. From her father’s local construction business and her sister’s floral company, as well her siblings’ work with the All American Soap Box Derby, Summa Health, and Stan Hywet Hall to name a few, one can see she is deeply rooted in her sense of community and family. Her passion for theatre did not lead her to the famed DePaul University in Chicago, although she had auditioned and was accepted into their prestigious program, but instead she chose to the study her craft closer to home at Kent State University. Her love of local theatre, from starring on stage as well as directing and behind the scenes work, has nourished her ties to several communities as well as honed her skills for public speaking. It was then a natural progression for her to become a small business owner of a children’s entertainment company. This led her to the coordination and production of local festivals and events. With her familiarity of construction, she coordinated and helped to grow an estimating department of Tri-C Construction, a branch of commercial developer Cedarwood Companies. She has been certified in blueprint reading through the Stark campus of KSU. Once she became a new mother, she wanted to make a difference in the world to others and sought out a position that would allow her flexibility in her new role. Her love of philanthropy as well as psychology grew while staffed at The Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation. But in 2010, her return to school at the University of Akron to study psychology was cut short when her young son was diagnosed with a rare cancer. Now a parent of a cancer survivor, she has joined in numerous fundraising efforts as well as taken the lead on spreading awareness with public speaking by sharing her son’s incredible journey. She returned to the workforce as Conference Coordinator with ValMark Securities where she had her hands full producing all aspects of two large educational conferences in Akron and Orlando from securing sponsorships, developing marketing materials, and booking entertainment to arranging travel, lodging, and meals for more than 500 guests. She was also instrumental in the company’s 50th anniversary celebration held at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland. In her current position as Catering Sales Manager for Old Carolina Barbecue Co., she covers the wide territories of both the Stow and Strongsville markets focusing on what she calls is, “the best aspect of any event: the food”. She is an active member of 7 chambers throughout NE Ohio, serves as a co-facilitator for the Medina chapter of the women’s networking group: KNOW on the GO, volunteers for several local pediatric cancer organizations, mothers to two vivacious young children, as well as assisting her husband with the launch his own landscaping company.
