Monthly Luncheon Meeting Committee

Be a part of the action at the Chamber Monthly Luncheon.  By volunteering you have the opportunity to meet/see everyone who attends!

Roles

Falls After Five Networking Receptions

Be a part of the action at the Chamber Falls After Five Receptions.  By volunteering you have the opportunity to meet everyone who attends!

Roles

  • Take Photos

Chamber Ambassadors

Help be a part of the success at our Chamber Member Ribbon Cuttings.  You will be in all the pictures showing your support while helping to hold the ribbon of success.  All Chamber Ambassadors receive a Chamber Ambassador tag.

Membership Committee

This Committee evaluates and reviews member benefits and works on member retention ideas. Works the Ambassador Table at the Luncheon Meetings. Also calls on all new Members to welcome them to the Chamber and meets them at Chamber events. Also drops off new member packets to all new members.  The committee also plans a membership campaign.

Fall for the Falls Community Expo Committee

This committee plans the annual Community EXPO event to showcase to the community what businesses and services are available. Help secure sponsors, exhibitors, and volunteers. Helps set up advertising and publicity for the event as well as the floor plan. Sells and promotes table space for event. Serves as a liaison to the host location. Responsible for event security. This event is held in March at the Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium.

Scholarship Committee & Fundraising Committee

This committee plans and organizes the scholarships that are given out at the June Monthly Luncheon Meeting. With other committee members, you will help interview and select the recipients of these scholarships. Interested students will pick up scholarship applications at their school guidance counselor’s office. This Committee also works on planning a yearly Chamber fundraiser(s). The committee can be creative with ideas. Also recruits volunteers to work at the fundraising event.  Secures sponsors and sells tickets. Some ideas are clothing drive, business workshops, wine tastings, t-shirts, cook-out, etc.

Golf Outing Committee

This Committee plans and organizes our Annual Golf Outing, which offers a fun venue for Members and Guests to Golf and network. Help recruit hole sponsors, door prizes, golfers, and volunteers. Work with Chamber Member caterer and help select a menu. Serve as a volunteer at the outing.  This all-day event is scheduled in June at Brookledge Golf Club in Cuyahoga Falls.

Business Person / Citizen Awards & Memorial Parade Participation

This Committee plans and organizes these awards in conjunction with the annual Memorial Day Parade. Coordinate winner’s bios, awards, wreathe for Cemetery presentation. Also helps select the award winners. Help recruit sponsors for this event. The awards are given out at the May Monthly Luncheon Meeting. The Memorial Day parade is in May with the award winners riding in the Chamber donated convertible/car that the committee secures for the day.

Holiday Party Committee

This Committee plans the last fundraising event of the year for Chamber Members and guests. This committee secures a location for the event. They also secure all donated silent auction and donated bottles of wine for the “wine grab.”  This committee secures event sponsors and event volunteers. Serve as a liaison to the host location. This event is in December at the SYB Hall.

Chamber By-Law Review Committee

This Committee reviews the Chamber By-Laws two times per year (June and December) and reviews all submissions for proposed changes to the By-Laws from the Membership. Helps coordinate the ballots at the member luncheon where the voting for any proposed changes takes place. Distributes collects, and counts ballots.

Technology Committee

This committee meets monthly to provide practical technological solutions for Chamber members and is a key component in developing a comprehensive Chamber website and database. The Technology Committee helps the Chamber and member businesses adopt the latest technology so that they can realize the productivity and quality-enhancing benefits that technology offers. The Committee also monitors technology-related issues on behalf of the Chamber and provides information that will help members identify business opportunities in the marketplace.

Chamber Publications Committee

This Committee reviews all Chamber of Commerce printed publications from the Cuyahoga Falls Street Map to the Cuyahoga Falls Community Book and Membership Directory. This committee works directly with the publisher/printer. This committee also oversees the content of publications.

Speakers Bureau Committee for Monthly Luncheon Meetings

This Committee contacts, secures, and follows up on all speakers for the upcoming year’s luncheon meetings.
