Cuyahoga Falls City Schools, in partnership with Cuyahoga Falls city leadership, local businesses and the Cuyahoga Falls Library, proudly announce the Fourth Annual Cuyahoga Falls All City Art Walk to be held on Thursday, April 19th from 5-8 pm.  As you stroll through town, choosing any of the ten locations as a starting point, you will find artworks on display by Cuyahoga Falls artists in kindergarten through 12th grade.  Thanks to the generous support of our community leaders, businesses and organizations, this event is free.

Display locations include the Pavilion on the Riverfront, City Hall, Cuyahoga Falls Library, Cuyahoga Valley Art Center, Hints of Happiness, Harps & Thistles Yarn Emporium, Metropolis Popcorn, Studio 2091, Urban Lace and Yum Yum Sweet Shop.  Pick up a map and collect stamps on your passport at any of these locations and begin your walking journey through our local world of art.

This year’s theme – Art Paves the Way – will feature stepping stones created by art students at each of our schools that will be raffled off during the event.  In addition to the incredible art displays, there will be make-and-take art activities, food, live music, artist demonstrations, fun photo opportunities, a debut of the City Hall mural, a scavenger hunt and more.  For the latest updates, follow our website at cfallsartwalk.weebly.com or our Facebook page at Cuyahoga Falls All City Art Walk.

We are grateful to our many generous sponsors.  Western Reserve Hospital, Pat Catan’s, Lowes, CFHS Art Club, Richardson Elementary PTA and CFHS Cosmetology are sponsoring make-n-take activities.  Donors providing foods to share with the public include Western Reserve Hospital, Crave, Kriegers, BJ’s, Jimmy John’s, Sheraton Suites, Acme and Giant Eagle Market District.  In addition, the Cuyahoga Falls High school FCCLA club will be practicing their culinary art skills by preparing and serving snack foods.  Sponsors that have donated items for the raffle with proceeds benefiting next year’s art walk include BurgerFi, Cafe O’Play, Handles, On Tap, Pizzafire, Portage Crossing Cinemark, Riverfront YMCA, Smoothy King and Yum Yum Sweet Shop.

The arts foster creativity, strengthen problem solving and critical thinking skills, improve academic performance and enable our students to express themselves in a way not taught by any other content area.  The vision of this event is a shared commitment between our schools and our community that focuses on the well-being and creative growth of our city, our students and the arts.
